Temporary visitor visa, college student visa, dependent visa, trainee visa, cultural activities visa, etc.
- ●Temporary visitor visa
- To carry out sightseeing, recreation, sports, visits to relatives, inspection tours, attendance at lectures or meetings, business contacts, or other similar activities during a short stay.
- ●College student visa
- To carry out activities to receive education at a university, college of technology, senior high school (including a course of study in senior years of a junior high school), senior high school course of school for special needs education, special vocational school (senshuu-gakkou), school in the miscellaneous category (kakushu-gakkou) or education that, with respect to facilities and curriculum, is equivalent to that provided by these institutions. Persons in this category include students at universities, junior colleges, senior high schools, or vocational schools.
- ●Dependent visa
- For foreign nationals supported (limited to child or spouse) by a foreign national staying in Japan who has the status of residence of professor, artist, religious activities, journalist, investor / business manager, legal / accounting services, medical services, researcher, instructor, engineer, specialist in humanities / international services, intra-company company—transferee, entertainer, skilled labor, cultural activities, or college student.
- ●Trainee visa
- For foreign national carrying out activities (excluding those relating to status of residence Technical intern training (i)(a), Technical intern training (i)(b) and college student) to acquire skills, competence, and knowledge at a public or a private organization in Japan.
- ●Cultural activities visa
- 1. For foreign nationals desiring to carry out activities of (1) or (2) below.
(1) Unremunerated academic or artistic activities
(2) Specialized study of Japanese culture or art
2. For foreign nationals who want to learn and acquire Japanese culture or arts under the guidance of experts.
